.Fertility Fest.

   This weekend we travel to Nagoya, Japan for the Fertility Festival. The spring festival is performed annually on March 15 of the solar calendar.
   This is a festival in which the Japanese people pays a visit to the shrine of the fertility gods to ask or pray for the blessings of fertility, which can be blessing to bear children, prosperous marriage, wealth, success and good luck.

To some it’s also known as the ”penis festival”.

   This first set of photos were taken on the way there and at the “Female Shrine”. According to our guide, we had to pay a visit at the Female Shrine first before we headed on to the main shrine. This shrine was quite serene, peaceful and had a great view.
